In recent years, the study on distributed control system in our country has achieved great success, but there is a big gap compared to the foreign. Many large and sophisticated distributed control systems still depend on import, which is expensive in price and difficult to maintain. In our country, the distributed control system mainly applies in the oil and chemistry field, which has close relationship with the production character in this field, but this also restrains its application area. Further this large distributed control system is designed basically by DCS manufacturer according to the production demand of factory, which will pose difficult communication between bilateral technical personnel and a lot of details of design can't match with practice of production. Besides, it is not convenient for technical training and systematical maintain. Based on the status quo of application of distributed control system, it is extraordinary importance for localization and universalization of distributed control system, especially for small one.In this thesis, we design a small distributed control system based on the high-pressure fiberglass pipe production line. This production line includes three types of technical devices, which are rolling machine, solidifying machine and extracting machine. The core controller of rolling machine is a motion controller and the core controllers of solidifying machine and extracting machine are PLC. So we introduce a control structure of this distributed control system, which is universal configuration software plus PLC plus motion controller. We needn't alter hardware device on the present production line and may accomplish the design of distributed control system by buying universal configuration software and making configuration of software and hardware, even that not only we may save a lot of outlay for factory, but also operator may work by simple training. We install the universal software of Kingview on monitoring and control station and make this software communicate with PLC and the station on which the motion controller is located by designing monitoring and control picture, making connection of pictures and configurating network. So operator may send control demand to the field device and receive the running information of field device by monitoring and control pictures, consequently finish the monitoring and control task for production line.Briefly, based on the theory of distributed control system, this thesis discusses the study on application of distributed control system on the high-pressure fiberglsss pipe production line, establishes foundation for the application of small distributed control system and technical change of factory, and also supplies practical basis for further study and application of distributed control system.
