In the half century of advent of night vision instrument, the study on the image intensifier made great progress and image intensifier was developed from the first generation to the fourth generation.The performances of MicroChannel Plates had been improved on and the related new technologies had emerged continuously. It is a main technology symbol of the third generation. that the ion barrier films were successfully coated by posting on the front surface of a microchannel plate. the ion barrier film provides effective ion feedback blocking and extends operating life.The work on MicroChannel Plates had a relatively high theoretical and practical value to studying the new MicroChannel Plates devices and improving on its performances.This paper was concerned with the ordinary study on the technology about the ion barrier of MicroChannel Plates, The interaction effect of the charged particles and the ion barrier film at the input of MCP on the resolution of generation image tube is analyzed. Distribution function of the charged particles in the film, and the Monte Carlo method, the simple analysis and simulation to the electron transmittance and ion stopping power in the ion barrier film was performed. These simple works supplement some results about the qualitative correlations between the above aspects and the thickness of ion barrier Al2O3 film. The monocrystalline or amorphous Al2O3 barrier film with thickness of 30-40 nm can obstruct the feedback positive ions, and the electron transmittance attain to more than 95%, that were also supported by experiment results.
