Application And Research Of Workflow Model In Product Data Management

Workflow model is computerized express of business process. One of the key issues in the workflow management system is how to setup a workflow process model that has powerful present capacity, is easy to use, to exchange and to formalize. The key to realizing PDM workflow management subsystem is to choose a method of workflow modeling.The efforts of this paper are as follows. Based on the analyse of the research results in workflow management field and PDM field,the paper also analyzed the information exchange between workflow management system and PDMS;Based on the analyse we expatiated the technology of realizing the workflow management system in PDMS and discussed the framework for integrating these two systems.The paper adopted the expanded Petri net– Function net and setted up a new workflow model based Function net.The flow classes, activity classes and relation classes of such a model are also built through the Object-Oriented technology; a process model analysis tool is developed, which can provides the process definition tool and workflow enactment environment to users,combined with the development of PDM system, the integration of workflow management subsystem and PDM was realized in a real system.
