Study And Implementation Of Workflow Management In The System Of PDM

Workflow Management is a key technology for the business process management andcontrol in PDM. In order to improve the efficiency of the product design, to reduce the designcost and to raise the design business management level and the competitive ability, enterprisesurgently needs to combine PDM technology with workflow management technology,especially to integrate workflow management into a PDM system to improve the performanceof the PDM workflow management function and to realize product related processmanagement. The paper describes theories,present application situation and development tendency ofPDM and Workflow Management in detail. Analyzing and researching architecture andfunctions of PDM and interface functions of workflow reference model, using UML analysetechnology, according to the standard of WfMC, demands of workflow management modularhave been analysed. Relations of uses and use cases have been expressed with use casediagrams. The static structural model of the system has been described by the class diagram. According to the process model, using web, Javabean component and databasetechnology, the web-based workflow management system has been developed. The operatingform of pictures is introduced from model's definition to management of workflows in thesystem that can define, modify and manage business process. It has higher reliability andplasticity, provides the guarantee for the automation of business management, and realizesbusiness management flow, standardization of the product design.
