The Research And Application Of Web Based Workflow Technology In PDM System

As the development of computer application and its application in enterprise inforrnatization, the workflow management system (WfMS) has become the basic platform of collaboration and automation of business flow. In the implementations of PDMS for enterprises and national key project in which the author participates, WfMS is the important part of the whole system, which is based on the document and part.From current situation and development trend of enterprise informatization, the article analyses the necessity to implement PDM in manufacturing, introduces the importance of WfMS in PDM implementation. Then the author analyses the current situation and development trend of workflow technology. And the author also researches the workflow management system and the workflow reference model of WfMC in-depth.In the following part, the article analyses the implementation mechanism of Windchill WfMS, and researches the process model - EPC (Event-driven Process Chain) model, organization model and resource model Then the author further analyses the implementation of Windchill WfMS with OOA, introduces the implementation of workflow engine, activity and connector of workflow, robot. At last, the author shows an example based on Windchill WfMS.Now, the workflow technology is in the developing phase, and with a good market future. The thesis is significative for the research and product development of WfMS practically and theoretically.
