The emergence of networked smart sensor owes to the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology, sensor technology and electronic technology. The large distributed measurement & control system, the node of the earth's electronic skin which can give service for every walk of life, can be built based on networked smart sensor.Therefore, the networked smart sensor technology becomes a research hotspot in sensor field and attracts a great interest. At present, a serious problem exists in the processing of building the distributed measurement & control system. It is that the sensor interfaces from different manufacturer are various. The interchangeability and interoperability problems between various manufacturers bring the difficulty of research, integration and maintenance for networked smart sensor system. Consequently, it is necessary to standard the networked smart sensor interface to address these issues. In view of this situation the Technical Committee on Sensor Technology attached to the institute of electrical and electronics engineer (IEEE)'s Instrumentation and Measurement Society has sponsored a series of networked smart sensor interface standards named IEEE1451 since 1997 with American National Standard Technology Institute (NIST). The sensor's design and manufacture will be independent of field-networks via this standard, which resolve the incompatible problems between various sensor manufacturers.At present, it has given a further research on IEEE1451 standard networked smart sensor abroad. It has put out many networked smart sensor demo after a series of standard are issued. The corporations of TMI, HP and NI produce a series of networked smart sensor nodes in succession supporting IEEE1451 standard. Recently part of domestic units pay attention to this standard and start following and innovation research. In the sustentation of science and technology office of Jilin province, this paper do a complete research on IEEE1451 sensor interface standard and has developed IEEE1451 standard networked smart sensor, based on which can build large distributed measurement & control system.This thesis can be divided into ten chapters, the IEEE1451 networked smart sensor module is introduced at length, the development of network capable application processor based on DSP platform and a series of smart transducer modules are discussed in detail, the application layer communication methods of networked smart sensor and correction, compensation methods and correction engine are deep researched, the key technologies of support software for networked smart sensor are presented, at last, multi-distributed measurement & control system modules are built, practices show that the standard networked smart sensor developed are available and the IEEE1451 standard is preponderant.The first chapter introduces the development of networked smart sensor and talks about...
