With the development of Internet techniques, micro-computer techniques and sensor techniques, the traditional sensor can not adapt to the tendency of next generation of sensor'development, it is an important direction to make sensor networked, smart and standardization. Therefore, it is also an important significance for build many fields of economy and national defense to develop new networked smart sensors. After a careful discussion of the smart transducer standard, i.e. IEEE 1451 Standard, this dissertation presents a networkerd smart transducer model, and realizes its full working prototype, including the hardware design of networked smart sensors, the software design based on Vxworks operating system and the application software design based on client-server structure. The main content of the dissertation are:First of all, after a careful investigation, the concept of a networked smart sensor is put forward combined with the embedded Internet technology. Then, a new design of the networked smart Sensor is presented, as well as its design idea and whole structure is introduced in detail, after a detailed analysis and discussion of the IEEE1451 family Standards, especially 1451.1 and 1451.2.On the foundation of this, the proposed networked smart sensor model is made up of two parts: including namely Network Capable Application Processor (NCAP) and Smart Transducer Interface Module (STIM). According as the blue print of design, this dissertation realizes the hardware design and the software design of STIM which is based on 8 bit micro-computer, realizes the hardware design and the software design of NCAP which is based on"AT91RM9200 + Vxworks", Moreover , the interface chart of hardware and the flow chart of software are presented in detail.Finally, this paper briefly introduces the basic content of Vxworks operating system and the basic content of network protocol, as well as the implementation of the TCP/IP stack, the embedded web server and data correction engine are discussed in detail. Subsequently, this paper proposes: Transducer Electronic Data Shee(tTEDS)and data correction which are key technique in the process of design of networked smart sensors, also briefly introduces its application in the system.
