With the persistent development of national economy, the electrical power industry in our country has entered a new stage of development. Power transformer is one of the most important equipment in electric power system. It is very important to run safely in order to ensure the reliable running of electric power system. As for the current system of monitoring the status of transformer, there are some more surveying values to research, such as the oil gas value and the signal of local discharge. The monitoring status of oil gas value could monitor the real time working condition greatly. But when the transformer broke down, the monitoring system only determined the property of trouble and couldn't fix position of transformer. It could not fulfill the need of examining and repairing the transformer, although monitoring the status of the signal of local discharge could fix position theoretically. It is affected by environment extraordinarily so that it is difficult to realize the monitoring purpose. To adapt examining and repairing the transformer, this subject is to realize the monitoring status of transformer by calculating the windings' resistance and inductance of transformer which goes wrong most easily. This paper develops a system of monitoring the status of transformer's windings.This software system uses the device of signal collection to realize monitoring the magnitude of voltage and current of primary and secondary side of transformer, and calculates the resistance and leakage inductance values of transformer's windings to determine the deformed condition of windings. The software system mainly includes data communication, development of database and the graphical interface display. Data communication module receives the magnitude of voltage and current which are sent to computer by the device of signal collection. Database module cleans up the data in computer which are collected from the device of signal collection of transformer, and then uses the usual database format to storage and operate huge datum conveniently. The graphical interface display module can display the magnitude of voltage and current from device of signal collection real time and values of the resistance and leakage inductance of transformer's windings which is calculated by some arithmetic, so that this system can determine whether the windings are distorted, that is whetherthe transformer goes out of order. This paper introduces how to realize these functions with some key technologies and how to use Visual C++6.0 to fmd specific methods.The software system which is involved in this paper gets much more valuable opinions when used in transformer substation and obtains excellent effect by mending the system. The system has definite extend value for electric power industry.
