Evaluation System Of Digital Library Based On Information Architecture

The information architecture is the new theory based on the network environment ,applied for the World Wide Web environment in particular the information organization and the website designs. The digital library is based on the computer and the network technology, it displays the whole function of traditional library in digitization, which is looked upon virtual library and the talk man of real library on the web . Now, the more and more digital libraries have been organized to establish, but almost all majority organization has neglected to evaluate it after used specially in good situation. The World Wide Web information environment changes fast, with time lapse there can appear the loophole even if it had been the outstanding website, so the digital library needs to recongfigurate,and the evaluation is the necessary part. However, the digital library site was made of many components, including their interrelation and interaction rather than simply summation.So,we are difficult to judge which relation affects the efficiency of the digital library, because the relationship of each component is ill-defined. The appearance of information architecture make another way for evaluation of digital library, it is the blueprint for building digital library in the future, judging whether the digital library conform to target of organization or not ,judging whether it fit the need of user or not. Based on the above factor, we discuss the problem of the evaluation of digital library from the core part, such as the organization,the navigation,the retrieval,and aspect and so on,and making evaluation of chaoxing digital library and CNKI digital library for example. Through inspects these concrete aspects to evaluate the information architecture, then reflects whole efficiency of digital library, thus helps the opportunity which the website recognition optimizes unceasingly, making the information recognized in realization.
