As the degree of the reconnaissance of the oilfields becomeshigher and higher , the management of logging data has graduallybecome an important task in the management of oilfield companies .During the past several decades , the oilfields had accumulated a greatamount of logging data . For all kinds of reasons , most of the databecame aging and metamorphoseing . Even some data lost . Theseways of preservation aren't good for the longtime preservation of thelogging data . They even bring handicap to use the logging data . Theinfiltration of computer technology has greatly accelerate theprocedure of automatization of oilfield producing and developing . Butusually the logging companies of each oilfields have many kinds ofnumerical controlled logging systems , and these numerical controlledlogging systems has different data recording formats . Usually curveediting and processing are needed before the data files are given to thedata decoding center . In the old days the operator used relative dataprocessing software for each kind of data file . The operator feltdisorder and inconvenient , for the software is developed by thosecompanies themselves , and the processing functions and the softwarestyles and the interfaces are all different , and it is impossible totransfer data between different systems . This restricts the effects ofcomputer technology in this domain in a certain extent . And it slowsdown the procedure of the oilfields informatization .For protecting the logging data resources , making the finding andbrowsing and using of the logging data more conveniently , avoidingthe inconvenience of using different softwares for different dataformat , and sufficiently share the logging data , we developed theLogging Data Managing System to manage the logging data . TheLogging Data Managing System not only provides a uniform storingmedium and environment for the logging data that each kind oflogging data has a uniform decoding platform , but also makessearching , browsing and using the logging data more conveniently . Ithelps the users use these valuable logging data resource of oilfield inany place at any time .I myself has took part in the developing of Liao He OilfieldLogging Managing System , and took charge of designing andimplementing the part called Data File Decoding . The Liao HeOlilfield Logging Managing System is a complicated system of a largescale , and Data File Decoding is only one of its functions . The systemlays particular stress on the layering organizing and managing ofoilfield information , company information , well information andlogging data , but not the organizing , managing and using of loggingdata . Now I personally develop the Logging Data Managing System .It lays more stress on the decoding , storing and using of the loggingdata . The Logging Data Managing System has the characteristics andinnovations below :1. The application of the B/S mode makes the Logging DataManaging System quite universal . The user needs nothingbut a computer which can connect to the Internet to use theLogging Data Managing System with the browser . Thismakes the remote using and managing of the logging datapossible .2. The Logging Data Managing System provides moreparticular logging data decoding functions than the Liao HeOilfeld Logging Managing System , for it lays more stress onthe decoding and browsing of the logging data . It helps theusers browse the information of the data file moreexhaustively , access the content of the data file moreconvenientl and directly . And it can change the format of thedata file into the text format which is easier to read . It alsohelps the users use the information selectivity .3. The innovative function of data file template makes theoilfield and logging company no more put more manpowerand material resource for new logging equipments and newdata file format . The users need to do nothing but edit thenew data file format as a template using the data file templatefunction , so that the Logging Data Managing System canrecognize the new data file format . Thus the users canexpand the functions of the system easily . This avoids therepeating waste of manpower and material resource , reducesthe waste of resource , lowers the cost of maintaining , andmakes the system itself an expandable and flexible one . Thisfunction is an innovation among the alike systems .4. The oilfield has a large amount of data and various offormats . The characteristic of hard to classify makes themanagement of data information a problem . The databasesystem is a sharp tool to solve this problem . The LoggingData Managing System provides the function that the userscan interact with the database . It helps to import a data file tothe database or export a data file from the database . And itcan save the exported file as either a data file or a text file .The Logging Data Managing System uses the MVC(model–view –controller) mode . It uses the Microsoft SQL Server2000 database system to store and manage the data , thisprovides a powerful guarantee for the storing , querying andmanaging of the system . The Logging Data ManagingSystem itself can be regarded as a perfect user interface to thedatabase . Thus the oilfields and logging company certainlycan change the database system of the Logging DataManaging System while they are maintaining or furtherdeveloping the Logging Data Managing System . As long asthey change the interface of the Logging Data ManagingSystem to the database at the same time , they can use thesystem normally .5. The amount of the users could be very large since theLogging Data Managing System uses a B/S mode design . Sothe Logging Data Managing System provides basic usermanaging functions . The Logging Data Managing Systemseparates the purview of the users into two levels : thecommon users and the administrators . And some of thesystem functions can only be used by the administrators .Thus the system security is enhanced in a certain extent . Itavoids the unnecessary losts , and protects the logging dataresource and the user data resource .6. The Logging Data Managing System not only solves theproblems of data storing that the various formats can bestored and managed uniformly , but also provides a uniformdecoding platform for the various data files , makes thesearching and using of the data more conveniently , solvesthe problem of endless waste of manpower and materialresource for the new data file formats .This dissertation first introduces the developing background ofthe Logging Data Managing System in Chapter 1 , then some basicOO(Object-Oriented ) theory and enumerates the UML views in thesystem design . The third chapter is the Requirement Analysis and theSystem Design of the Logging Data Managing System . Chaper 4 ,Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 are the Detail Design for each part of thesystem and the database . Finally , Chapter 7 gives out the conclusion .The Logging Data Managing System is satisfying in logging datamanaging . Its convenience and practicability will definitely be fullyused and it will bring infinite convenience for the storing , managingand using of the logging data . And it will be greatly helpful to theconstruction of the oilfields informatization .
