Research And Application Of 3G Network Management And Configuration Management Based On TMN

Recent years have seen rapid development of Third Generation mobile communication network. In 3G network, the category is numerous and the equipment is more and more complex against 2G network. In order to ensure operation of the telecommunication network, enhance the reliability and usability of network, and obtain corresponding data of tele-equipment in time, so it is necessary to develop a reliable, efficient network management system for telecommunication company. The aim of telecommunication network management makes best use of network resources, improve the quality and efficiency of network, and provide best communication service for customer. Telecommunication Management Network(TMN) provides a series of solutions for implementing telecommunication network management. TMN can make simply for management methods between different company in complex network condition, and reduce cost of management.Based on the basic architecture of TMN, according to R4 version of 3G core network of WCDMA, and with the configuration management as a target, this paper provides an in-depth study of theory of TMN information model, and design the data model for network configuration management using XML language. All the data model are abstract as Managed Object(MO). This paper plays emphases on the main functions of configuration management subsystem in TMN architecture, including data collection of network element hardware configuration, statistics search, data configuration, data transmission and logical link establishment etc. This system establish in the unify network platform based the separation of application and platform. Lastly the maintainability and usability of the system is improved by using JAVA, XML, F interface, Relation, Table Adapter, CMIS/CMIP, and international resource.In the end, this paper makes introduction for test profile of network management system and gives the test result. This system has already passed system test and integration test, and reached the demand of telecommunication company.
