The software configuration management is an important constituent of the capability maturity model (Capability Maturity Model, CMM). The software configuration management can to help the software enterprise to improve the software development flow and to improve the software quality. The software configuration management is an important method is to control the process of software development.Firstly this article introduced the basic concept and main content of the software configuration management, discussed the main configuration management model: CICO model, organization model, long business model, change collection model. Has analyzed the existing the pros and cons of software configuration management system. Make in this foundation on the activity-based software configuration management theory. To the software development process and the configuration management process from the activity and artifact has analyzed. Has studied on the essential technology of the activity-based configuration management theory. For project formulation corresponding project strategy and parallel development plan. Inspected the agile development to configuration management the request, and according to these request union tradition configuration management implementation flows, has made the change in the demand and beginning of the configuration management, simplified the branch strategy, subdivided the change granularity, finally carried on proposing the solution to the frequently questions for change management in the actual development process.
