In this thesis we introduce the concept of MES and the development of MES and their applications in our country. Many enterprises in our country have made great developments by informationization. By analyzing, we have found that when building a enterprise information systems, a lot of enterprises pay more attention to the upper layer and lower layer and ignore the workshop-based layer. Manufacturing Execution System focus on workshop-based layer in manufacturing information manage, it can provide solutions more directly and more efficiency to improve the product's quality rapidly and decrease the consume of resources so that a enterprise can strengthen it's whole competitive ability.A kind of MES with high performance for discrete manufacturing is constructed after discussion. This kind of MES is based on advanced enterprise information manage concept and CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) technology. It can be fit for our country's traditional discrete manufacturing. In this system, We use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology as tags to acquire system data, mainly aim at practicability and we focus on system's data collection, data communication, planning and system manage-related.The model of Manufacturing Execution System based on RFID technology has been put into practice in an auto fitting company. By improvement and optimization in practice, results are satisfactory. Our system's success can be used as referee in other enterprise. Practice also proved that the Manufacturing Execution System based on RFID is valuable in practicability and valuable for further research and popularize.
