With the rapid growth and development of computer and Network technology, the speed and validity of information transmission has been greatly improved. The management of modern enterprise is becoming more and more complicated. The sharing of the resource of vast information guarantees the effectiveness of organising, management and producing. The development of IT has also boosted the growth of the technology in the field of industrial automation. Industrial inspection, data transmission, the automation of producing process and artificial intelligence have been broadly used and composed the integrated automatic information system, which has promoted the development of the technology in the traditional industry and made the enterprise more powerful.The complexity of the polymerization and the insistent needs to maintain the stability of the system and to forecast of the parameter that correlated with the quality of the product made it more and more important to design a real time monitoring and control system to cope with these problems. This paper represents the design and realization of the computer monitoring and control system based on an Spheripol polypropylene industrial producing processThe main contents of this paper are as following:1. This paper summarizes the technics and automatic control actuality of polypropylene producing, the key factor to the benefit and security of the producing process and the status of the use of monitoring and control system in process industry as the basic work for research and application.2. Analyzing the requirements for the design of the monitoring and control system of the polypropylene producing process.3. According the analysis of the system ,this paper proposes a design of computer integrated monitoring and control system ,mainly includes four layers -.real time database as the data exchange centre, producing software packet as the data calculating centre, Process Explore as the operation platform ,and DCS as thefield control and real data source. 4. Based on the design of the monitoring and control system of the polypropyleneproducing process, this system has been realized and put into use after debuggingand solving the technique problems. The main function of the system has beenrealized and the anticipated results is acquired.At the end of this paper, some experience in integrating developing and executing the monitoring and control system of the polypropylene producing process is shared.
