In our country,the public libraries'community image is not optimistic and they fail to give full play to its social functions.Amid the fierce market competition,the survival of public libraries bear strong pressure.To find the way to the development of public libraries,the paper presents their brand strategy and makes a further exposition focusing on thenecessity and feasibility of public libraries'brand development and the principles and strategies for dealing with.The paper relates to the classic brand theory and some others academic knowledge as a guide.The paper'S highlights are the specific content and methods of public libraries'brand-building which are elaborated along the main line of basic brand operations of public libraries that are the brand research,planning,promotion,development and maimenance.
