The outstanding characteristic performance of the modern market economy is a knowledge-based economy, the knowledge-based economy ages is the times of" brand". In increasingly vigorous market competition today, the library as the important part of information industry inevitably enters the competition of knowledge-based economy, the brand strategy is more and more valued by library corporation, competition in library will be brand competition , the brand strategy will become the main strategy of the library competition strategy. However, the theories research about brand and brand strategy in library is relatively backward.Based on analyzing the element of the brand stategy in library and current situtation of the brand stategy in library, the following article shows the importance and feasitity of the brand strategy to the library. Then, combined with the cases of domestic and international library, the paper makes a thorough study on the concrete implication process of the brand stategy in library, such as brand positioning, brand operating, brand promotion and brand innovating, etc. And in the end regarding Tianjin University Library as an example , at analyzing current condition in Tianjin University Library, the papers expatiates the concrete measure of implementing the brand stratey in Tianjin University Library. The author's main purpose is to awake more leaders of the library corporations to pay more attentio to brand strategy and to discuss how to build their own brands, how to get strong brands through long-term brand operation and how to keep them vigorous through brand innovation, offer consults for the sustainable deveopment in library.
