On The Development Strategy Of The Publishing Logistics In China

The thesis is a research on the development strategy of Chinese publishing Logistics. With the development of modern publishing Logistics, breaking through the "bottleneck" of chain operation in publishing becomes more urgently. By viewing at the history of Chinese publishing, this article has introduced the latest achievement on global Logistics theories and the Logistic industry, especially analyzed the successful case in international publishing Logistics—Tohan Logistics in Japan. On basis of systematic analysis, the thesis tries to provide suggestions on strategy composition and policy to accelerate the progress of publishing Logistics in our country.Part One has discussed the history of publishing Logistics development in China, following the track of "Xinhua Bookstore — self-distribution of press — modern publishing Logistics", which lasts no more than a century. To develop modern publishing Logistics, we should learn from the precious experience from distribution system of Xinhua Bookstore which enormously set up and still compact.Part Two gives a brief introduction to the international Logistic theory, the latest achievement of Logistic technology as well as the developing tendency and characters of international Logistic industry. In order to acquire the outmost development of publishing Logistics in China, we should also learn from developed countries open-mindedly.Part Three is a case analysis of publishing Logistics based on Part One and Part Two. The Tohan in Japan is renowned as its systematic theory, advanced technology, standard operation and remarkable effect. When it comes to the breakdown of Japanese publishing industry, I support the opinion that without the publishing Logistics system from Tohan and Nihan, the publishing industry in Japan would have broken down 20 years earlier. Therefore, from the aspect of publishing industrial, it is essential to study Tohan.Part Four brings to a logic conclusion on this research based on the previous statements. In order to speed up the development of publishing Logistics in China healthily and successfully, we should rightly handle the relationship in 5 aspects; adopt comprehensive strategy which includes 6 sub-strategies; avoid 3 misunderstandings in practice; seek for policy and legal support; stick to be practical and realistic, and also defer to the rule of development on economy and technology. There is no other way out.
