Study On Medical Information Service Baced On Internet

With the development of the Internet and the progress of the information technology, web-based information service is becoming a main method of the medical information service. Among the whole information service business, medical information service has its own special advantages: high service efficiency, rich information resource and large quantities of information service subscribers. Under web-based environment, this web-based information service is different from the traditional information service under the traditional conditions in medical information service object, service content, service method and usable service resource etc. As a main organization, medical library must change its service mode to build up a user personalized vertical information mode.After analysing the character of the medical information service under web-based environment and the status of the medical information network, the web-based medical information mode service mode for the medical library and related issues have been further researched and discussed in this paper.There are six sections in this paper.1.Introduction the web-based medical information service. This section firstly, related concepts of the web-based medical information service in our country have been defined. Then the application of the Internet for medical information service and the character of the medical information service under the web-based environment have been introduced. Finally, the state of the art of the medical information service has been analysed.2.Methods of web-based medical information services. In this section, content oriented, subject oriented and user oriented service methods have been introduced and discussed.3.Resource of web-based medical information services. This section presents the types and characters of the web medical information resource. The method to access these resources have also been illustrated, such as search engine method and medical website database method etc. In addition to these, a series of Internet medical information resources have been listed out.4.Web-based medical information service mode. In this section, based on the analysis of library traditional service mode character and the challenges for the traditional medical information service under net environment, a vertical information service mode applied to the medical information service has been proposed. Here personalized information service research has been emphasized and a personalized information intelligent agent model has been presented.5.Web-based medical information quality evaluation. In this section, several web-based information service quality evaluation models proposed by American scholars Bogut and Michle have been illustrated firstly. Based on these models, a library web information service quality evaluation model has been proposed.6.Web-based medical information service development trend and strategies. In this section, the medical information service development trend has been analysed and a basic research and discussion on the development strategies of the medical library ofour country have been presented.
