Power supply is important and indispensable component of electron equipments, and its quality and safeguard greatly influence the reliability of the system.Various electron equipments were puzzled by over-voltage all through these years. With various new equipments launched into industry and the voltage of equipments enhanced incessantly, the influence on electron equipments by over-voltage became an inevitable problem. The power supply of general industry electron equipments only provides a working voltage without protective module of over-voltage resistance. When interfere signals of over-voltage etc come into being, the power supply will be mangled or damaged so as to the electron equipments will not work well on the influence.Therefore, this paper analyses the problem exist in the power supply of modern electron equipments, aims at the characteristic of severe over-voltage interfere in power supply system, and brings forward a design project of a new type intellectualized power supply with over-voltage checking and protection. In this project, we introduce an online over-voltage checking technique into power supply module, and check the whole input signal of power supply module by MCU system. Therefore, when interfere signals emerge, the intellectualized power supply module will exert its over-voltage and lightning strike resistance by the checking and protection circuit, meanwhile, it startups standby power supply module at abnormal state so that the power supply will work well under the interference of over-voltage. This project also introduced MODBUS protocol and RS-485 bus that power supply module can communicate with PC by RS-485 interface, thus the PC also can check the working parameters and performances of power supply in time, focus on monitoring and controlling the power supply, accordingly implement the "transparent power supply".
