Communication base stations need to deal with the growing information with the continuous development of communication technology, and the scale of IC on system board also become increasingly. This requires the power supply for the IC not only work stability in the low-voltage high-current environment, but also have fast load dynamic response, low output ripple noise and good heat dissipation characteristics. Therefore, the power supply module to be layout distributed on the communication base station system board constitute on-board distributed power supply module group, it is the inevitable trend of development of communication power supply.This thesis describes the research status and application significance of low-voltage high-current distributed power supply, then studied a variety of working conditions of Buck converter and leading edge technologies (synchronous rectification technology, parallel interleaved technology and current share technology). Finally, formulate the design proposal of power supply applied to low-voltage high-current. According to the requirements of different IC on system board, the design of on-board distributed power module group could achieve 5-way voltage output(3.3V,2.5V,1.8V,1.2V,1V), and work in accordance with the timing of setting. Where 1V power supply output current up to 28A, and achieve 1V 28A output with two-phase interleaved manner, each phase difference of 180°, the two-phase use the internal current sense loop of TPS40140 complete current balance by the maximum current method. Complete the efficiency simulation test of every power supply module by TI test platform.This latter part of thesis take a detailed analysis to the design and test of power supply group. The power supply group consists of the following components:the input inrush current limiting and hot swap control module, the filter module, DC/DC converter module, the timing control module, overvoltage/undervoltage protection module and the delay module. Developed the prototype and test the input characteristics, output characteristics and subordinate fuction, the test results show the overall performance fully meet the design requirements.
