With the intensification of the competitive globalization and the rapid development of information technology, logistics has become one of the most influential newbies. In 1980s, the western countries witnessed the wave of the deregulation drove the market mechanism to promote the development of the transportation.Particularly in the field of supply chain management, whether the logistics were to be self-managed or outsourced had become an inevitable choice for enterprises to make. At that time, the third-party logistics was born, and then turned into the development trend of the global logistics industry, because the third-party logistics strategy is to separate logistics from supply chain by letting the professional logistics provider conduct the service,which can speed up the running of supply chain, decrease the overall operating costs, and improve management efficiency as well. Regarding the global logistics industry, most developed countries such as USA, Japan etc, have already formed their own stablized logistics systems, yet the one of China specially in the research and application of logistics management is lagging behind theirs. The Chinese third-party logistics enterprises have to not only face the challenge from the competitors aboard, but also locate their home market, while providing the customers with the personalized value-added services., Under these severve condition, some unsolved problems would be bound to deter the future development of China's logistics, and among them the top priority shall be given to the information construction of the domestic logistics enterprise for the services of the third-party logistics are provided on the basis of it.Warehousing, as a core element of the third-party logistics,shall be chosen as the prime target for the innovaton, because it's only via the constant innovation of the opearation and the management mode by means of the advanced information technology that the reduction of the warehousing costs, and the improvement of the management efficiency could be achieved to make the overall logistics business stay invincible in the fierce competition. Against this impact, it would be proposed for the new requirements for the development of the warehouse management systems (Warehouse Management System) that as the update of the business requirements is getting more and more rapid, the speed of the software development by the mothed of the traditional PC (process-oriented) structure could not keep up with it, but by the mothed of the OO (object-oriented) UML could.Through the use of the OO UML (Unified Modeling Language) visual modeling, the warehouse management system with effciency, convience, and flexiblity could be established to support the whole logistic supply chain by offering the precise promptly billing and the prefect customer management.The content of the dissertation is divided into three parts– the first has the overview of the logistics development to express the basic concepts of third-party logistics and the importance of the warehousing in it, the report of the information construction of the logistic warehousing to make further stress on it, and the introduction to the current tend of the warehousing management system to reflect the problems during the deveploment process and the resolution to them. The second displays the whole process of the design and the developing of the system based on UML, that is: make the top domain models, model the business process with the activity diagrams, to summurize the fundimental functons of the sytem, draw the use-cases of the requirements, show the monumental interface by way of Storyboard, form the summary logical structure, then to keep refining them by show of the sequence diagrams, the collaboration diagrams, the state diagrams, the package diagrams, and finally present the system realization and testing through the component diagrams,the configuration diagrams and test plans. The third part comes to the conlusion and looks forward to the future of the warehousing management system.This,subject via combining the computer software development with the logistics and focusing on interdisciplinary areas of them, studies the application of the modern information technology to the business integration of the emerging third-party logistics. By the use of the popular OO (object-oriented) UML modeling technology abroad, it makes the design and analysis of the core logistics business, the warehousing, to improve the development process of the warehouse management system, quicken the realization of the system, and advance the replacement of the traditional process-oriented software development technology by the object-oriented one in this field of China. The perfect marriage of the UML object-oriented development process and the logistic warehousing business accelerates the development of the logistic management system. With the product systems, the operating efficiency and the management performance of the entire logistics chain is significantly improved, the core competitiveness of the Chinese third-party logistics enterprises is enhanced, and the overall development of China's logistics industry can be facilitated, which is the most creative application fruit.
