Research On Knowledge Management Practices Of Academic Libraries In Contemporary Era

In the context of knowledge economy, knowledge management has become a hot topic on which a majority of scholars study and discuss. The research on knowledge management in academic libraries has received more attention than before, and a large number of outstanding achievements and works have emerged. The research content of knowledge management including theoretical analysis, application models, management principles and strategies, tacit knowledge management, and so on. However, on the basis of the analysis of knowledge management of academic libraries, the author of this paper finds that a few of them finding the existing practical problems and recommending improved countermeasure. From the point of the basic elements of the knowledge management practices, this paper divides knowledge management practices in academic libraries into three types: the type of technology–oriented knowledge management in academic libraries, the type of organization–led knowledge management in academic libraries, the type of resource–based knowledge management in academic libraries. It also finds the problems that exists in practices, such as the non–standardization of technical design, the immaturity of technical application, non–integration of technical development, the barrier of management pattern, the obstruction of the management system, and the problems of knowledge management which are based on human resources management and literature resources management, and so on. By the analysis of the problems that exists in knowledge management of some domestic and foreign colleges, this paper points out the corresponding improved measures, and indicates the development tendency of the future of knowledge management in academic libraries. The purpose of this paper is to expect that it can give more enlightenment to the realistic situation of knowledge management of academic libraries of domestic colleges, on the basis of analysis of management theory and practical experiences in domestic and foreign academic librariesAt the same time as knowledge management practices of academic libraries attain significant progresses, they also have many deficiencies and gaps. The main line which penetrates the text is to identify problems, analyze and solve problems, according to the research on realistic practical problems of knowledge management. To be specific, this paper including the following content: Chapter 1 introduces the background, significance, method, content and creativity of the research. Chapter 2 summarizes knowledge management and knowledge management of academic libraries, which forms a brief knowledge framework of knowledge management and knowledge management of academic libraries. Chapter 3 discusses those practical cases of knowledge management in some domestic and foreign academic libraries, and analyzes the practical problems of them. Chapter 4 points out some countermeasures to solve the problems of knowledge management, in combination with the question of reality. Chapter 5 points out the trends of knowledge management in academic libraries. Chapter 6 is the summary of this research, it prospects the development tendency of knowledge management of academic libraries, and points that knowledge management in academic libraries should be abide with the principle of"seek truth from facts". According to the subject and object of knowledge management,the stage of development and document carrier, it should be treated differently.
