Practice Exploration Of Knowledge Management Of University Library

Knowledge has become the impetus to the development of the whole society. Not only has knowledge management been recognized by many entrepreneurs as the improvement of management culture and as the innovation of management mode in the business, it has also received great attention of many professionals as a young discipline with great prospects. University library, as the department in charge of knowledge management and service, should pioneer in its spread and practice, and should combine the innovation and spread of knowledge with technological processes in university library to produce high values.The main research contents of this thesis are listed as follows:First of all, beginning with the origin of knowledge management, this thesis makes a detailed analysis of the definition, the classification, the specialty of knowledge and definition of knowledge management. It analyses the differences and connections among data, information and knowledge, knowledge management and information management.Secondly, this thesis expounds the necessity and feasibility of adopting knowledge management in university libraries,and analyses the investigation and research about the basic situation of knowledge management practice of university library of Tianjin.Thirdly, this thesis builds a technical model of knowledge management system and designs a mode of knowledge service on the base of knowledge management in university library after producing knowledge management techniques, definition, functions and characteristics of knowledge management system.Finally, the revolution scheme for the implement of university library knowledge management system including organization culture, BPR, organization structure, CKO and so on are investigated and presented. Hopefully the conclusion in this thesis will have some referential values in practice.
