The experimental equipments are valuable resource and they keep a large proportion in the high school's fixed assets. The tasks they bear are not only including the experiment teaching, but also the important projects of nations and enterprises. So, under the quick development of information, how to improve the management information of the university, to achieve the complete-life-cycle management of the experimental equipments, improve management efficiency, reasonably and fully use the equipments resource will become an important problem.In prophase of the system development, system analysis and BPR (business process reengineering) of Industrial Engineering were used to analyze and design the process of the equipment management. It is depend on the investigation and its aim is to make the functions of the system clearly. On the basis, we constructed system use-case standing on the system engineering by using UML. Based on the previous results, we modeled the static models and dynamic models according to the process of the equipments management, we can clear the relationship between all the system functions. Finally, based on the all models modeled before physical structure and database was designed. The structure of this system is B/S and we used Visual Studio 2005 as a development platform, SQL Server2005 was the database. This system used ASP.NET dynamic web as the interface, VB.NET was the code template language. Meanwhile, JavaScript Scripting language was used in the design to realize the system functions of the system too. After the process of design, we take some tests about the function and the system reached the main performance index. This system can run on a client that is IE browser, it used in the LAN. All of this simplified the use process, reduced the cost and it had greater security in safety. The research achievements of this subject ended the manual equipment management, it achieved an informatization management, enhanced the efficiency of the management and simplified the process. It provided a valuable reference and a Design idea for the reform of the university informatization and the information system development method.
