In modern communication industry, the system of the base station which support the communication network needs to be optimized and upgraded constantly, but during the upgrading the users'mobile phones already can not connect with the communication network. So naturally the operators will ask the equipment manufacturers to provide a base station system that can support all common functions to users during the upgrading. There are three mainstream ways to implement the function: the first way is to adopt a sent-two-messages tactic when the net and the mobile phones exchange messages during the upgrading; the second way is to adopt the Encode and Decode mode; the third way if to adopt structure-exchange method. To compare the last two methods, the advantage of the second way is that once it is implemented, it requires no more maintenance in this function, but completely incompatible with the un-Encode and Decode previous versions is the fatal shortcoming of this solution, it can be implemented by bit or byte; the advantages of third method is that new function can be done seamlessly compatible with the previous versions which had not adopted this method, and the aim of the changes is very clear, but the disadvantage is that the complex statistical work of information changes made it hard to implement, and a special exchange mode is needed for this version before the upgrading of different versions. Because this task comes from the real operators Aircell, and ask for smooth-upgrading during the next upgrading definitely, and just because of this demand, the best codec way must be eliminated and adopt the third method to implement this function. Use a two-dimension list in BSC to storage and real time upgrading all the run edition information of the base stations'BTS, when is assumed the message need to be exchanged to the aim edition, use structure exchange in the exchange mode to change it to the aim edition, and send it to the base stations, in order to make the messages of different editions of base station compatible. The systems that implement the smooth-upgrading function can upgrade the system without interrupt the users normal business. To make sure it has excellent capability and perfect function. Before it be launched into business market, we will try our best to test special instances as many as possible.
