The DAB is the third era broadcast after the AM, FM traditional broadcast. DAB have many merits such as anti-noise, anti-disturb, anti-decline of the electric wave and adapt to receive in high speed of moving.The three key technology of the DAB are information source encoding and decoding, the OFDM channel encoding and modulating , the synchronization technology. The information source encoding actually is a perceptual audio compression coding.Nowadays,in our country, the MPEG1-II algorithm of the information source encoding of the Eureka-147 DAB system is developed.This algorithm is usually implemented by software or DSP, so it is necessary to design the special integrated circuit.Through researching the MPEG1-II algorithm, this paper is the preparation for the design of the encoding and decoding special integrated circuit.First,according to the"Standard of 30MHz~3000MHz digital audio broadcasting system technology"and the ISO/IEC 11172-3 Standard,the algorithm of the encoding and decoding is researched.Secondly,the encoding and the decoding algorithm is simulated and verified by Matlab.Finally,the analysis sub-band filter band of encoding is designed and compared by three methods;then using a optimized algorithm,the circuits of decoding is designed by Verilog language,Though analyzing the results, the design is proved correctly.
