For the reason of three decades of reform and opening-up ,China has undergone enormous changes especially in politics,economic, cultural and sports and so on.Our current national image doesn't match the existing reality. Olympic Games, a global media event, have the feature of unparalleled attention.So the host country of Olympic Games is well attented. as the mainstream media of China,"People's Daily" have the opportunity on how to construct the country's image,which is the proposition need to be confirmed.This paper take the analysis of quantitative empirical methods to reasearch.First of all, this paper explain the study background and the purpose of the study, Clarifying the concept about the national image, as well as elaborating the relationship between the national image and the media.Then in contrast to the ideal image of the country's national image and reality the gap between, and then based on an analysis of units and categories of the Olympic Games during the "People's Daily" reported statistics, produce the "People's Daily" China's national image. Finally, analysising the "People's Daily" the characteristics on how to construct the country's image. |
