Supply chain management is an information network that build around core enterprise to make suppliers, manufactures, distributors, retailers and end users overall through logistics, information flow and capital flow control. Coordinated operation of the supply chain must be established on high quality of information transfer and sharing between enterprises in various nodes. However, the lack of data specification in supply chain event information transmit make it hard to identify the information between upstream and downstream. Therefore, standardize supply chain transmission and define transaction information in supply chain event is of great importacnce in enhancing the effectiveness of supply chain operation.This paper is based on research and standard-setting of "RFID based logistics information exchange system data specification" proposed by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee. Four models of supply chain topology are analyzed, define scope of the logistics supply chain, specify the supply chain nodes, By reverse derive definition of logistics capabilities, defines research subject of this paper—logistics event. SCOR model is adopted and extracted according to description of supply chain event. Define the properties of logistics supply chain events connotation and denotation, refine the six dimensions of the logistics supply chain transaction attributes and define code system of logistics supply chain event, establish a system of supply chain events business logic code tree, bring forward data dictionary used to identify supply chain events, logistics events information is stored using internationally accepted OID format. A prototype RFID system is designed using OID format data to simulate real logistics scenario to achieve and verify data specification of logistics information exchange system using RFID tag as information carrier.This paper first summarizes logistics information exchange standards and related technologies, analyses and summarizes requirements and challenges of current logistics information exchange standards, then proposes design principles of data specification in logistics information exchange system. Secondly, properties and coding schemes are extracted from logistics supply chain event according to design principles of data specification. Finally, give an example of data specification in RFID tags.
