Application Research Of EAN/UCC System In Supply Chain Logistics

EAN/UCC system is taking the role of The Global language of Business.In fact.it already became international standards in the data acquisition, electronic data Interchange domain. Its code extends from the commodity to the address, the service and the property, and its application domain also develops from the expense commodity profession to nearly all professions.In recent years, with the development of logistics industry, It is ultimately to apply EAN/UCC system to supply chain logistics.Under this background, this paper propose a supply chain view to inspect applications of EAN/UCC system in supply chain logistics.Firstly, this paper will introduce the concept of supply chain logistics and EAN/UCC system;propose the conceptual model of application of EAN/UCC system in supply chain logistics, launche separately more concrete application in the two aspects between "commercial indentifier" and "electronic data interexchange", this paper also disscuss the work flow of EAN/UCC system in a simplification supply chain.Secondly, this paper will discuss EAN/UCC information system construction, from the software and hardware intergration, the network design, the database construction.Finally, this paper will introduce a case that applications of EAN/UCC system in ShangHai some vegetables supply chain logistics, which can carry on the preliminary confirmation using the model.
