SpaceWire is a high speed, high reliability, low power consumption spacecraft data bus technology, with error detection and error recovery capabilities at the same time. SpaceWire technology has been the world's attention, and has broad application prospects. SpaceWire has been used in a number of space missions of the ESA, and China's FY-4 Geostationary Meteorological Satellite also want to use this technology. Thus it can be seen that if the spacecraft has SpaceWire interfaces, electrical ground Test&Control instruments must have the ability to communicate with them. Considering the high-speed characteristic of SpaceWire, common bus can not support SpaceWire's Bandwidth. To solve this problem, we brings forward an idea, SpaceWire node is implemented in IP core form, PCI Express bus×4 interface is achieved by using PCI Express bridge chip and PCI bus IP core, then PCI Express SpaceWire communication card is designed by combining the two together. In this thesis, the background, characteristics and research actualities of SpaceWire are introduced, then SpaceWire standard and PCI Express standard are analyzed. After that, we bring up the design scheme of the hardware platform. In the development of firmware, we discuss the receiver and transmitter of SpaceWire IP core, the Master controller and slave controller of PCI bus IP core in detail, and also analyse the differences between the two SpaceWire receivers' implementations.Experiment results show that SpaceWire IP core can support a baud rate of 200Mb/s, PCI Express interface can transmit data at 357MB/s continuously, the PCI Express SpaceWire communication card can run steadily and accurately, and all the performances accord with the goal.
