| With the development of digital communication technologies, the digitalization of broadcasting television system has been generally undergoing. For the TV station of every province and city, an efficient and convenient remote network management of its subordinate DTV equipment is needed to improve its abilities on operating, serving and competing. Therefore, the development of network management (NM) software characterized as reliable, opening, flexible and adaptable, is helpful for TV stations to realize centralizing monitoring and managing.When it comes to the network management of DTV device, we mainly use the WBM mode, which can only handle the one-to-one scenario and suffers from lack of capacity in comprehensive network management against a large number of devices. Meanwhile, we have to develop a new management system for new-introduced devices thus increase the work load. This paper focuses on the application of SNMP in DTV device network management system. The software based on this model has the following advantages including short development cycle, low-risk, high reliability and high cost-effective, fully in line with network management requirements of DTV equipment, such as the moniter for trap information and running status of equipment, and the log management.First of all, this paper describes the background of Digital Television and SNMP. Then it goes details for the design of network management system and solutions for key blocking issues. The next part of this article introduces the implementation of all the modules, effective ways for software performance optimization, and test procedure. At last, the simulator which is used for testing in production environment is also introduced.At present, the software system based on this paper has been completed successfully and applied to use. Both the function and performance meet the demand. At last, this paper summarized the status of these two software and made comments for improvement in the future. |
