Since the society progresses and communication technology develops, the mobile communications Business is developing rapidly which totally changed the way both of work and life. In order to increase the sensitivity of receive unit, more and more mobile communication base station are emerging in cities, especially in some densely populated areas such as residential area, CBD, school and even some terrace of high-rise construction. As a result of above, the electromagnetic radiation effect has paid more and more attention by people. It is not only accord with demand of society but also has an important impact to enhance credit of an enterprise for mobile communication enterprise to standardize and systemize the environment protecting work of base station.The mobile communication base station radiation effect need to be analyzed and calculated.This article introduces the development of mobile communication, and gives a brief overview of the knowledge on electromagnetic radiation; on the mobile communication base stations, and then, analyzes the characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagation models and a variety of applications of these models. In this paper, we make use of the base station electromagnetic radiation prediction and calculation model to calculate the electromagnetic radiation around the base station; it gives the way to evaluate and monitor the electromagnetic radiation of some typical base station, according to evaluation criteria and monitoring methods. The results verify the predicted and measured values and variation in the size of the match. Finally, according to the distribution, characteristics of the base station electromagnetic radiation, this paper gives suggestions on construction and private protection of the base station respectively.
