In recent years, business of China’s mobile communications has been rapid development, but at the same time by the electromagnetic radiation pollution of mobile communication base station problem is becoming more and more public attention. Due to the feature of electromagnetic waves, we can’t see, can’t touch, and can’t feel. So it’s hard to recognize and understanding the feature of electromagnetic waves. Therefore, studying the characteristics of mobile communication base station electromagnetic radiation and its spatial distribution and attenuation characteristics, making a prediction model and visualization simulation is imperative. It’s not only to help location design of mobile communication base station, environmental monitoring points, environmental impact assessment, such as working in the field of communication and (eia). It can be easier to popular science propaganda to the masses and let people understand the electromagnetic radiation around. It’s a good method to reduce unnecessary panic and disputes. On the base of the microwave prediction model from 《Guideline on Management of Radioactive Environmental Protection Electromagnetic Radiation Monitoring Instruments and Methods》(HJ/T10.2-1996), this paper optimize the original prediction formula and deduce normalized directional function by the antenna radiation pattern of base station and engineering antenna theory. Build the new electromagnetic radiation prediction model of GSM mobile communication base station, and make a simulation research on the basis of the mobile communication base station electromagnetic radiation prediction model. Then, we can make a visual process for space distribution features of GSM mobile communication base stations by programming on the MATLAB simulation platform.
