Composites products with its superior performance have been used widely in military and civilian areas. Fiber twines molding is a important molding process to made of high strength composites, winding mandrel plays an important role in producing composites products, the shape of the mandrel determines products shape, its strength affects the quality of the product and its production efficiency restricts the products of the production efficiency.This paper mainly study on the common winding mandrel mandrel, such as cylindrical spherical mandrel, tapered mandrel, cylindrical cans mandrel. Analyses the characteristics of each mandrel and key dimensions,at the same times combining the winding mandrel appearance's requirements, using the software (such as Pro/E) 3d CAD's strong modelling function, established various common mandrel CAD models. Reuse Pro/TOOLKIT program secondary development language combining VisualC++ to design the parts-library, using parameters to control model, to realize parametric design,for the follow-up of composite products manufacturing have the important meaning.Research Pro/E secondary development Pro/TOOLKIT program, grasp programming's key technologies and heavy difficulties, to careful research on the key problems, clear up the basic steps and methods Pro/TOOLKIT procedures to control model.Using secondary development to realize winding mandrel parts-library's parametric design.For the more convenient to expansion of the model of the mandrel parts-library,to physical model, through Imageware reverse design software transformed into 3d CAD model. Understand the principle of reverse design, focusing on the method of reverse acquisition practical model's 3d CAD model.Then get existing 3d CAD model converting neutral VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) files, by combining VisualC++ and OpenGL to analyzing mandrel mode in the VisualC++ environment, then using VisualC++'s MFC to designe concise user interface, completing the Pro/E and MFC dialog interface problem, realize the Pro/E and MFC dialog communications. In MFC dialog box that will contain the key parameters of the model, at the same times display them in the dialog displays. Meanwhile, realize simulation to find out problems, reduce the loss.
