Data Acquisition System is one of the key part in modern space collect memory, whose performance directly affect the whole system. Besides how to transfer a large amount of acquisition data to analyze and process becomes the key problem that restricts system performance improvement and system function achievement. With this background, a high-speed data acquisition system based on PCI Express bus is proposed in this thesis.Based on deeply studying the theorem and methods of data transfer system based on PCI Express bus and taking the performance with cost into account, we decide to realize the PCI Express bus interface with the dedicated bus protocol chip PEX 8311 and steps of the whole circuit are controlled by FPGA. So firstly it introduces internal function modules, direct slave transfer mode and configuration register of PEX 8311. The modules of data acquisition, PCI Express bus interface and the high-speed PCB design are introduced detailed in the hardware design. FPGA's control logic makes data acquisition coordinate into data transfer. There, the high-speed PCB design of PCI Express bus interface, the timing logic of local bus and the configuration of PEX 8311 are the emphases and difficulties of the whole hardware design. PLXSDK is a software development kit provided by PLX company. The continued transfer performance of high-speed data acquisition card is tested by PLXMON plan in PLXSDK.The interface card designed in this project is achieved through PCI Express X1 interface. If it was achieved through X16 interface and techniques such as RAID were adopted, the performance of data acquisition card will be further improved. Besides,owing to local logic controller FPGA, the data acquisition card can also be applied to other high-speed data acquisition and processing project with much more universality and flexibility.
