Analysis On Media Ethics Of The Sensitive Events Reports

Many social problems in china nowadays are becoming the focus of public concern during the period of social transformation, especially the reports about sensitive events in which many ethical controversies are involved. Based on the analysis of sensitive events reporting, we can learn that media are facing the problem of value judgments and determination problems exist, and so does the conflict between the discipline of propaganda and journalism concept.It is obvious that the ideal for news career is in a dilemma due to the media competition. There are a variety of reasons----the restriction of current system of laws and regulations, low efficiency of executive, low literacy of the public and the news department media, the negative influence of media marketization and the pursuit of economic interests of media on the medium ethics, the professional knowledge deficiency of news practitioners, etc. The function of Medium ethics, which is a concept keeps updating with the development of news industry and social transformation, lies in the guidance of professional activities. Therefore, we must take measures from both external and internal media environment. We should first construct the external ethics system, then develop the media ecology environment and construct optimal internal ethics system, finally advocate news professionalism.
