Research On Media Sensitive Events Report In The Perspective Of Risk Communication

At present，China has been in a critical period of social transition，with thesignificant changes in the political system，economic growth and other aspects，thewhole social ecological environment have a great change. Since China’s entry into therisk society，public health emergencies，group events and violent attacks and othertypes of major events showed multiple trends. Most of these major events have acertain sensitivity and complexity. Therefore those events usually draw social strongrepercussions and widespread concern.Based on the literature analysis，the essay attempts to summarize the news mediarisk communication in terms of the substance，methods and bottlenecks and otheraspects. At the same time，by selecting the typical case，the essay try to study the newsmedia reports about the risk-sensitive events，realistically analyze the performance ofthe mass media in reporting the relevant types of sensitive events，trying to analyzethe constraints in reporting sensitive events in political， economic， audiencepsychological，clarifying the special nature of sensitive events. Through case studiesand a comprehensive analysis based on the theory，and re-examining the three coreelements of risk communication，namely the relationship between the government，the media and the public，the essay argues that，in the modern risk society，the newsmedia as an important communication bridges between the government and thepublic，has the responsibility and obligation to properly handle sensitive incidentsreports for playing a risk communication functions.
