The Application Research About The RRPP Technology In The MAN

The internet plays a very important role in the rapid development of society. With the large-scale application of internet network, the internet has a more detailed distinction, arise campus network, education network, e-government network, power information network and other forms of MAN. The demand of metro Ethernet market is growing rapidly, the bandwidth of access network has increased by 20 times from 2005 to 2009, required more high performance of network's recovery and security. At the same time, the emergence of new business, including VOIP, video conference and so on, they all need higher requirement to network's self-restore under bad condition. The network protection technology directly affects the construction of MAN, so there is an urgent need to develop the network's protection technology. It has already been researched deeply about the network protection technology of RRPP(Rapid Ring Protection Protocol) design in this paper: including the realization of the principle, design method and practical application.The strengths and weaknesses of every ring protection protocol were analyzed by a domestic company, under the IETF RFC 3619 defined the EAPS ring network technology, present a new type of Ethernet ring protection protocol--RRPP. I was joined in the research about the new features of RRPP, responsible for the RRPP protocol software module, inculding the design, coding and testing. This protocol will provide carrier-class convergence time of network, less than 50ms, while the application cost is very low. Also has the flexibility, reliability, scalability and other properties, very suitable for small and medium-scale MAN, adapt to a variety of standard network transmission frame structure, transmit voice, data, images and other types of data packers effectively.This paper has provided an application solution of RRPP in the MAN, to guide the construction of the MAN. In this program, design the networking based on specific business, analysis the network fault may occur, and carry out instructions of fault handing and fault recovery. Since each node in the MAN needs to support DiffServ, Scheduling mechanism and so on, design the plan of various business and the achievement of QOS mechanisms, different signs for different business priorities, provide a flexible business classification.In the process of RRPP application solution in MAN design, required special test in the actual network traffic conditions, this paper has already researched deeply about the RRPP networking, testing the actual network traffic conditions in the laboratory. First, described the needs for testing. Then analyzed the test focus and carried out a detailed analysis of some test content. Finally, testing the RRPP application solution about the performance, the experiment results were within 50ms, verify the feasibility of this technology.
