Energy monitoring system for large public building is a comprehensive large system with computer technology as the core and communication technology as the hub, combining electronic technology, process automation instrument and automatic control technology. The quality of data transmission channel is the base and guarantee of realizing the function of the system. Because of the large scale of public building and dispersiveness of energy consumption, the cost performance of adopting traditional cable way for data transmission is not high. Thus, this dissertation introduces GPRS wireless data transmission technology, which applies mixed data transmission with mainly cable way and secondarily wireless way, to the energy monitoring system for large public building.The dissertation introduces the framework of energy monitoring system for large public building based on GPRS technology, respectively expounds the design of system field acquisition, network communication and data center. And gives the system's overall design scheme after systematically studying GPRS system's composition and communication principle, and several encryption algorithm and communication protocols. This system is composed of field acquisition, network communication based on GPRS remote transmission gateway as well as data management in data center. The intelligent gateway and front-end measurement unit adopt RS485 bus for information transportation, and GPRS remote transmission unit connects with the IP address-fixed management host in data center.The dissertation mainly researches the design of wireless transmission gateway based on GPRS technology. The main components are TI company's MSP430F149 chip and Huawei company's EM310 chip. With necessary peripheral circuit, they can form a terminal transmission system to realize GPRS remote communication function. Combining DL/T645 multi-function electric meter, it presents a new transmission protocols for adapting to the multi-types instrument data transmission of energy monitoring system for large public building. Finally, Gateway is tested the function, the problems which occurred in the test is analyzed and finds solutions. Based on the mobile communication network, GPRS technology is applied into the energy monitoring system for large public building, bringing its characteristic of convenient-use and low-cost into function and solving the problems of difficult-construction and high-cost in transforming energy measurement in large public building. This system can not only be used for energy monitoring, but also can be used for streetlights inspection, and water regime monitoring etc., it has a wide application scope.
