Software Design Of Wireless Sensor Networks

In recent years, the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has raised a dawn of Post-PC time revolution. The WSN is a self-organized distributed network system which is composed of a mass of tiny sensors nodes that has the sensation ability, the computation ability and the traffic capacity. It synthesized the sensor technology, the embedded computation technology, the modern network and the wireless communication technology, the distributed information processing and so on. It could monitor real-time, feel and gather cooperatively all kinds of information of environment or monitored object through various integrated sensors. And then it transmits the information to user.First WSN characteristics and software research progress is summarized. Then the challenge in software it faces is discussed. This article briefly int roduces the rise, status and development of WSN in the future.
