In the leather industry, leather shrinkage temperature is a very importantperformance parameter, which not only affects the leather’s physical andmechanical properties, but also has significant meaning for production,processing and scientific research. Traditional means of detection technique arerelatively backward, with low degree of intelligence, efficiency and accuracy. Sothey cannot satisfy modern production of leather industry. Thus to develop a newleather shrinkage temperature detector has important economic value.The development of Leather Shringkage Temperature Detector is a projectof“Science and Technology Research and Development Project of ShaanxiProvince”. The content is mainly on detection efficiency and accuracy. Thisarticle is based on the technical standards of the national leather shrinkagetemperature detection and MSW-YD4detector, and further improvements aremade in the design of MSW-YD4detector. The improvements consist of twoaspects:1) For heating system of the detector, the task is to adjust the heating power.It can achieve the purpose of heating medium temperature slowly and smoothlyincreased. These are designed to prevent the fluctuations of the temperatureincreases to reduce the accuracy of measurement of the instrument.2) For upper computer software, the program is improved and optimized.And a database is established to find the value of the measured temperature vialooking-up table. So the accurate shrinkage temperature is obtainedvia the calculation.Meanwhile, the electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment is discussed. And some performance testing and summary have been made for the improveddetector.In order to achieve the purpose of precise temperature control intemperature control system, the electric cup heating method and PWMcontrol mode are used. In addition, the detection system is a key part of theaccuracy of the leather shrinkage temperature. Therefore, it uses a high-precisiontemperature sensor, signal acquisition interface circuit uses a12-bit A/Dconverter, the software uses arithmetic mean filtering algorithm, and the circuituses electromagnetic compatibility design,etc. Thus the detection accuracy isgreatly improved. The Upper computer software uses a visual programminglanguage Visual C++6.0. It collects the data of temperature and length of thesamper in real-time, and achieves online data analysis, and the data stored indifferent formats, so that the process of shrinkage of the leather sample can bebetter displayed.By making use of MSW-YD4detector, it shows that both from efficiencyand accuracy have reached a higher requirement. The practice shows that theimproved leather shrinkage temperature detector has obvious advantages andbroad application prospects, especially in the accuracy of measuring.
