Compared with traditional presses, servo press is more environmentally friendly, energy-saving, flexible control and shapes a higher accuracy. Therefore, it becomes more and more widely used in the field of Sheet metal forming. Upper computer control and process planning software is the medium for the operator to control the equipment, and it directly affects the forming efficiency and quality of the equipment. Upper computer software is an important part of the servo press system. Excellent upper computer software can greatly improve the servo press's forming quality and efficiency and it gives users good operation experience.In this paper, it researches on the communications strategy of the upper computer and lower computer, the software architecture technology and the software security strategy of the servo press. And the software is particularly built for servo presses of different types and standards. Based on the communication technology research of OPC protocol, it achieves the real-time communication between the servo press's upper computer and lower computer. The upper computer software is not limited to specific hardware platform and its upper communication protocol can be expanded according to specific demanding. The upper computer software is designed in a flexible and modular architecture way. To express the interface of upper computer software by describing language, to generate the interface by the independent R&D program generator, to design the interface layout and style by interface engine so as to make the interface easy to modify and adjust. And also it reduces the developers'repetitive work observably. By dividing the software into infrastructure module, UI module, function module, software security module and OPC communication module to make the various parts of the software relatively independent and easy to extend and transplant. The software encryption model which based on the intelligent encryption lock protects the software itself from illegal copying. By realizing the key part of the core algorithm in the performance-limited encryption lock by reasonable algorithm distribution successfully and storing the key parameters of the software and the users'important personalization parameters in the encryption lock that it makes the software a part of the lock and ensures the software's high-strength encryption by the hardware security of the lock.By the application-based PC software's expansion research, it realizes the PC control and process planning software of the servo press and also it makes the software more versatile, scalability and security. The software system and related technologies have already been used in 1T ultra-precision servo press and 200T servo press in Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corporation hot forming production line.
