The stability of boiler combustion directly affects the safety and economy of a power plant.In order to reliably detect combustion status in boiler furnace in time,to prevent furnace explosion and other situations from happening,it's necessary for utility boiler to equip an image flame detecting system with reliable performance. This paper is sub-system of the Image Flame Detecting Project,and its main work focuses on designing the software of Video Workstation.The Object-Oriented methods and the Communication Principle of serial port which based on MFC Technique and Multithread Technique have been employed. VC++ which can provide a visualized programming environment and the Access database have been used.The character of upper-computer software in Industry Control is been considered.At last,the upper-computer software which can be used on the Image Flame detecting system has been developed.There are several contributions in this paper.First,the functional structure of the software has been designed and the corresponding program which equipping the software with the functions like real-time detection of flame combustion,the storage and replay of video,the display of curve in the past and the management of database has been developed.Second,the resulting system has a kind user interface in Chinese,and is easy to be manipulated,and has a huge data storage capacity.Moreover,the system can be reliably and easily controlled,installed and debugged.
