As the basis resource of People's lives and the businesses development, water resource not only plays a huge role in the production and life of the people, but also restricts the rapid development of the economic. Water supply is an important industry in the people's livelihood, with the growth of the urban population and the improvement of the people's living standards, the urban water consumption has increased and the requirements of water quality have become more sophisticated. How to use water resources reasonably, design the urban water supply systems with high-performance, high quality and high efficiency, to achieve the town's scientific, safe and high quality water supply has become an important issue.In this paper, for the features of the water sites in Shan Yin urban water supply system, have wide distribution, number of remote and distance, the corresponding control device have more and dispersed transfer data, the high communications requirements of real-time and reliability, designed a set of urban water supply SCADA system based on GPRS. The urban water supply SCADA system consists three parts of remote terminal, GPRS wireless data transmission network and control center which is a remote monitoring system with computer technology, automatic control technology, communication technology and sensor technology in it.The remote terminal of Shan Yin urban water supply SCADA system consists four parts of pumping water from Water Source station, increasing pressure at Compressor station, supplying water under constant pressure at Second Water plant and storing and supplying water at First Water plant Among them, Compressor station, Second Water plant, First Water plant and the duty room of Water Source station use S7-200 series PLC as a controller, and the control of the wells room of Water source station is simple, use STC-1 micro-RTU as the controller, respectively, to achieve the acquisition of data of on-site solution position, flow and pressure as well as the remote control of pumps and valves. GPRS wireless data transmission network is mainly used for the data communication between remote terminal and the monitoring center. The town water supply SCADA system is a small industrial control network system, using master-slave RS485 bus to link all communication devices on the network. Among them, for the short distance between Second Water plant and the monitoring center, we use wired data communications; for First Water plant, Compressor station and Water Sources station are far away from the monitoring center, we use GPRS wireless communication network data communications based on TCP/IP transmission.The system uses saro 1010p GPRS DTU Which is affordable and embedded TCP/IP protocol stack, to achieve wireless data transmission between the remote data terminals and the monitoring center. GPRS communication in the water supply SCADA system is designed for networking applications in the fixed public network IP address, direct access to the public Internet network via the ADSL way. In the remote terminal end, each data collection devices are connected to its RS485 serial port of a sarolOlOP GPRS DTU, GPRS DTU GPRS access network, attached to the Internet automatically; in the monitoring center at end, the host computer is connected to the Internet directly, to receive the collection of data information from the remote terminal through the ADSLThe monitoring center equipped with a Yan Hua IPC-610 industrial computer with fixed IP address running the configuration software to monitor various aspects of the supply process, to record the real-time parameters information, and to print reports. Position Monitoring system using virtual serial port technology to achieve the data communication between the king configuration and saro1010P GPRS DTU, while using MATROX G450MMS QUAD G45X4QUAD-B multi-display card to complete the multi-image split-screen display in the monitoring center.
