Street Lights Based On Gprs, The Integration Of Gis / Gps Monitoring System, The Design Of The Upper Layer Software

This paper is based on the project of "the wireless SCAD A system of Street light in Fu Yang city". SCADA systems consist of three functional components: communications equipments, remote terminal Unit (RTU), and control center. The control center collects data from one or more RTUs and sends limited control instructions to those RTUs by GPRS net in the project. We realized the integration of SCADA,GIS and GPS systems in the project also.In the paper, the author firstly summarizes the framework and principle of SCADA system and GIS/GPS system, then analyzes the principle and application of GPRS communication. The design and implementation of Street light SCADA system control center software based on Client/Server and used tools of Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 are introduced in the end.
