This paper focuses on the research and development of a Data Acquisition and Control System based on semiconductor equipment. The system employs eBox as its hardware platform and Embedded Linux as its Operating System. According to the requirements of users, in the Qt/Embedded development environment, the system application is completed with C++programming language.The thesis analyzes the hardware architecture of Embedded System and the characteristics of Embedded Operating System, and studies the basis of employing Embedded Linux Operating System. To fulfill the user's requirements on device control, the proposal of the Data Acquisition and Control System is designed, the core function modules are put forward, the embedded hardware platform eBox4850 is established. The system's software environment is set up, the Linux Kernel structure is analyzed, and the creation of root file system and the reduction of Linux Kernel is emphasized, finally, the porting of Embedded Linux to eBox4850 is completed. For the host, the Qt/Embedded development environment is set up to develop and verify the application programs. The application program of Data Acquisition and Control System is designed, which works well in data acquisition,data processing and display for a couple of sensors, and the results are the basis according to which users control the system.In accordance with the requirements of task, the system works well in a large number of tests, which proves that it is feasible and of application value to employ the advanced embedded software and hardware technologies in the Data Acquisition and Control System.
