With the development of China's telecommunication industry, communication technology has become an important way and prerequisite of the telecom operators'market competition, after the release of 3G licenses, the 3G technology standards are gradually established, and the technology and equipment drive to maturity, and the plans of the 3G network are also put on the agenda, how to construct 3G mobile communication network economically and reasonably has become the core issue of network planning and construction.The construction of WCDMA mobile communication network in Harbin is very necessary and urgent. It will meet the communication market demands of the China Unicom in Harbin, and it also can supply high-quality mobile communication services for the users, and enhance China Unicom's market competitiveness and corporate efficiency, and consolidate the market share and the sustainable develop of itself, and promote the advance of communication technology.This paper is based on the practical work, according to the basic principles and processes of the WCDMA network plan, and combining with the technical characteristics of WCDMA, according to the actual situation of the development of Harbin, analyzing and determining the coverage requirements and capacity needs of the Harbin's network, predicting the business volume and the number of users. According to the analysis of dialogue model and propagation model, this paper completes the plan of the Harbin WCDMA network, which contains the core network of the Harbin WCDMA and network of Harbin WCDMA. Through intensive research in the WCDMA net, complete the analysis and classification of current WCDMA network coverage problems, by adjusting the way of cabling to get solutions of different situations, summarize the optimization ways of the typical coverage problems to meet the growing needs of the users. Some conclusions and methods of this paper have some practical significance for the in-progress construction of the WCDMA network.
