The Research And Practice Of Chongqing Unicom WCDMA Network Planning

The Chongqing Unicom GSM network in the network size,network coverage,service quality and many other areas,there is a wide gap.This, in the 3G era, China Unicom WCDMA technology needs to be transformed into market dvantages,improve data services capabilities.The 3G mobile communication network is needed, for communication to meet the market demand in Chongqing Unicom to provide users with high-quality mobile communications services.For improving the market competitiveness of China Unicom to enhance enterprise efficiency, and consolidate market share and their own sustainable development, and promoting communication advances in technology are very necessary and urgent.This paper has analysis the technical features of WCDMA,wireless network structure,key technology, combined with the wireless networking standard version of the general principles and to discuss selection of principle in order to arrive at the appropriate regional network building programs.Key technologies of WCDMA include RAKE receiver, multi-user detection, smart antenna technology, power control technology. Also, according to characteristics of WCDMA network coverage is uplink limited system, that is,the coverage radius of less than the downlink uplink coverage radius,so during a time when the wireless network coverage analysis must follow uplink planning.And WCDMA networks provide different services,the coverage radius of its different businesses are different,so when doing coverage analysis should be provided with the local 3G business into account jointly.Taking China United Communication Group Corporation as a research object, this paper expounds the principles of WCDMA radio network planning, including its investment, coverage,capacity, quality, upgrade character and competence.It introduces the program flow and detailed methods of WCDMA radio network planning and in-depth analyzes WCDMA radio link budget, the adjustment of the transmission model,the capacity of the base station and its coverage area. Then it analyzes and forecasts the business demand of Chongqing Unicom, which is helpful for Chongqing Unicom to set down its WCDMA radio network construction and development strategy.This paper holds that a plan be implemented in steps according to its coverage areas, and it puts forward a planning method of combining outdoor coverage with indoor coverage.In this paper, detailed plan and construction scale of WCDMA radio network installment construction is shaped. And the paper evaluates on the coverage capability, the base station capacity and its coverage technology.Finally, we plan to use TOP3 proposed building simulation software programs to verify, the results show that the construction program will come good coverage to meet the established targets and capacity indicators.Finally, according to our proposed construction of WCDMA wireless network design data field tests,we found that a good building to meet the expected demand.
