Wireless Sensor Networks has made a great progress in our daily life in these years, it has been more and more closely related with people's daily lives and widely used in all fields of economic and social life. The ZigBee wireless communication protocol is a software protocol which is very good at short communication, low-power and low-cost application. It has remarkable advantages in industrial control area.At the present time, installing the automatic control system with high cost, it was unfit for environmental of agriculture production, so a large-scale promotion will not start. In this paper, the wireless sensor networks and agricultural industry was combined together, and it mainly described the technique application of greenhouse. In the design, the system requirements, framework and function were described at first, then designed handware and software of the node. The design of this system is based on JN5139 module which produced by JENNIC in England, and it is the most advanced module in the world. The Z-Stack has been transplanted in the node for the application of environmental monitoring system. Energy saving can be obtained in the design.After finishing the design, the experiment proves that the system communication is stable and reliable. At last, the paper offers the suggestions of subsequent design and research.
