| Based on the technology of the ZigBee wireless communication and Ethernet, a remote monitoring system for wireless sensor network is discussed. The research is done from the four aspects. They are technology of the ZigBee networking, the hardware and software development of the ZigBee network node, the development of the ZigBee Gateway, and the development of the remote monitoring system.Firstly, the characteristics of ZigBee technology are analyzed. The theoretical foundation of establishing the star topology structure of wireless network is laid through the detailed analysis of the ZigBee communication model, the network equipment, the type of network topology, and the research of the method of ZigBee networking.Secondly, the ZigBee network node hardware platform is made by the ZigBee wireless microcontroller module as the core, combined with sensors and other peripheral circuits. In order to meet the demand on the environment of industrial production and agriculture control, the ZigBee network nodes collect the environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and light, by the temperature and humidity sensors and the illumination sensors.Combined with the circuit of the controllers and the sensors, the drives are written in Codeblocks software platform, to realize the ZigBee coordinators and the terminal nodes, and achieve the creation and management of the wireless sensor network. In practice, the terminal nodes with sensor can collect and transmit environment data independently, realizing the monitoring of target environment.Thirdly, the Ethernet module is designed with the Fast Ethernet chips, completing the hardware design and drives. Control the Ethernet module by the innovative use of ZigBee network coordinator. And then set up the ZigBee gateway. The Gateway implements the conversion between the ZigBee protocol and ARP, UDP protocol, realizes the combination of ZigBee network and Ethernet, and then broadens the scope of the application of ZigBee technology.Finally, achieve the real-time PC monitoring software by Visual C++. The star wireless sensor network formed by five ZigBee nodes, gains the real-time information through the environmental monitoring, and verifies the feasibility of the designed system. The monitoring software realizes the communication between PC and gateway, and the remote monitoring and data management for sensor network. The designed wireless sensor network remote monitoring system based on ZigBee, with easy networking, low power consumption and low cost, can meet the needs of various applications with high practical value. |
